Puntland Network Forum has extensive experience in managing EU projects in renewable energy and green transition areas. Through our research work, we analyze institutional conditions facilitating the transition towards a green economy by encouraging investment in the enhancement of natural capital and social equity, focusing especially on government interventions in Africa.
We believe that sustained economic growth, environmental health and poverty reduction in Africa requires a widespread innovation and implementation of new and appropriate “green growth” technologies. Establishing a sufficiently large suite of innovative options, suitable to all economies, and at the urgent pace required will involve unprecedented innovation activity not only from developed regions, but also from new clusters and enterprises in emerging economies in Africa.
Stronger international cooperation can play a critical role in facilitating this transformative process in Africa.
